Candidates who wish to apply for Canadian permanent residency status are required to create an Express Entry profile and enter the pool. Each profile is then ranked on the basis of key factors like the candidate’s age, skilled work experience, education, proficiency in English or French, etc. Candidates with higher ranks are issued an ITA to apply for a permanent residency visa.
