When it comes to Canada immigration, there are certain points where most of the applicants stuck and sometimes commit mistakes due to lack of knowledge. In order to avoid such fateful situations that may result in disappointment for you and your family, it is advisable to properly understand the Canada PR process.
Canada offers a wide range of economic immigration options for international workers, but navigating through the same can be a bit challenging for an applicant who is new.
Thus, we came up with a list of most common concerns that you may face during your Canadian PR process and how you can fix them.
When you have a full-time continuous work experience of fewer than 12 months in your primary occupation
If you indicate a primary NOC code on your profile in which you have less than one year of full-time continuous work experience, i.e. 30 hours/week or you indicate a NOC code which doesn’t match with skill level O, A, or B, then your profile will be rejected automatically.
However, to solve this issue you must indicate only that primary NOC code for which you can prove of having minimum 1 year of experience in last 10 years time. That experience has to be of skilled, continuous and full-time job.
On a brighter side, no matter which NOC code you are indicating as your primary occupation, it will not affect your job prospects when in Canada.
Waiting longer for submitting application
If you have a qualifying application, then it is highly recommended to submit your application as soon as possible. As a matter of fact, Provincial nominee programs are quite unpredictable as the PNP streams open and close quickly. If your application is not in the Express Entry pool with other candidates, then you may miss out on better immigration opportunities.
Only solution to this is to submit your application once you qualify to apply.
When your concept of employment reference letters is unclear
When we talk about employment reference letters, most of the applicants think about document they have received from their past organization that outlines their skills and certain accomplishments. Such letter proves to be great for professional career, but they won’t work with your Canada PR application.
A kind of reference letter required for Canadian immigration must demonstrate your official job title, list of job duties, dates of employment and average working hours per week.
In case your official reference letter doesn’t include your salary, then you can provide payslips. if your employment duties are missing, then you may get a sworn declaration from a supervisor or your colleague with a list of your daily tasks.
However, taking a final decision about acceptance of employment documentation is at the discretion of the immigration officer.
Misrepresentation
Misrepresentation is undoubtedly a serious offense when it comes to Canada immigration. It may lead to application refusal. In fact, you may be barred from applying for Canada PR for several years.
The only solution you have is to be honest. Always stay truthful and provide accurate details about your career history, medical issues, or criminal background, age and so on.
If you are interested in moving to Canada, then do consider the points mentioned above while preparing a case file.
